Resolved Question: Will a German Shepherd fit my lifestyle?
I've been looking forward to buying a German Shepherd. My local breeder is offering me 1500$ for a purebred German Shepherd, and I adore these dogs. I remember having one as a kid and every, and they were the best dogs men/women can have. I live in a 3 bedroom apartment alone (I do understand these dogs are not apartment dogs) but my job requires me to be out most of the time, and my dog can arrive with me. I go hiking up mountains close beaches, and I also go gold panning. It gets me lots of cash, and I'm already planning to move to a home in about 2-3 months. I stay out there for about at least 4 hours every morning and afternoon, and I thought this is a great chance for my dog to receive new scents. I also know a great dog park, as me and my pal meet up there (he has a akita). I've done my research about these dogs, and what are your guy's opinions? Thank you. :) Another thing, I've been saving up emergency vet money, and I've only saved about 2000$ right now. I actually have bought the kennel just now, and the other supplies such as collars (regular collar and choke collar), I.D tag, etc.

Resolved Question: *TO ALL MY FELLOW DOG OWNERS* What Do You Think Of This Idea?
Hi, so right now i am living in an Austin Tx subdivision for a little while as I live with my sister. Its just your normal subdivision; a bunch of tiny houses crammed together with limited backyards (though it is right next to a park with lots of trails which i loooove). I am in a tough spot family wise and my life is a bit of a mess right now but thankfully i finally got my dog back the other day and he is keeping together:) but he also gave me an idea. I know there are tons of people with dogs in this big subdivision and believe me i look MANY owners walking their dogs here but I thought I could try something. I figured maybe I could walk dogs here. Like i said i am in a tough spot, i have had many things taken from me for no reason and really dont have much here. If i want anything im gonna have to pay for it myself so i thought maybe i could walk dogs for money to receive me a little cash to help pay for both my dog and me. I am a previous nonprofit dog shelter worker and have worked with dogs my whole life. I am very skilled and share a special connection with animals (haha my family says im a dog whisperer:) that makes me feel special even if im not but i do have a record of being able to handle dogs that no one else can touch:)) and have 4 of my possess (only one is with me right now of course though). I have had dogs every my years and have become very skilled in training. I also am able to handle extremely difficult, huge, hyper dogs without problem (pretty much figures after having to wrestle escape dogs back into their kennels everyday) so size would not effect the price. I thought that I could have the options of a 15 min walk for $5, a 30 min walk for $7, or a 45 min walk for $10. Then I also had the idea of having a trail walk option where i could take them to the park for an hour where there is endless trails, fields, water and more though im not sure do you think that would be a good idea? Each walk would also arrive with basic leash obedience through the whole thing and i would also reward the dog for good performance several times but I would always make sure treats were ok with the owner. Soooo do you think this is reasonable? i also dont know how wealthy this neighbor hood is but its not needy. Would you take an offer like this? Do you think i should do the park walk option as well? if so what price? i was thinking maybe $15 but i dont know it seems a little much for me then again i grew up needy. oh yeah i am 14 but i wish no one will mind considering my experience. i could also provide a leash incase that was a problem or something so please... opinions are appreciated! thank you:)

Resolved Question: im 17 and have work experience?
I've worked at an amusement park for about 5 months. I now work in a grocery store and have been for about 4-5 months. I receive about 30-35 hours a week. Are there any other jobs that hire around my age that include computer skills, like a receptionist desk? I'm just getting bored of retail and wish to receive a job dealing with orders and such, not just using the cash register.

Resolved Question: Would you offer some constructive criticism?
This is incomplete work of a short story I'm writing. If anyone from the Y!A community has any pointers or suggestions I'd adore to hear it. Thanks. Name (Untitled) It's a tardy January night when a white van pulls to a cease at the Dodge's Chicken gas station. A male figure steps out of the van, ducks and surveys his surroundings as he walks to the back-edge of his vehicle. He peaks around to observe the inside of the store and taps twice on the van's back door. Another man climbs out of the back and makes his way to the driver's seat. The man standing outside pulls a ski-mask over his face and strides quickly to the store's entrance. Once close the entrance he pulls out a revolver. Inside the store a heavy-set gentleman sits behind a counter reading a gay porn magazine and continues to flip the pages oblivious to what's happening outside. The man with the ski-mask on opens the door, points the revolver at the heavy-set gentleman and proclaims: “every the money in the register and in the safe behind the counter. Now!” The heavy-set gentleman replies, “Of course. Give me a moment...” “You said you wanted 'every the money', right? Are you sure?” The criminal replies, “Do not screw with me, homo! I will shoot you!” The heavy-set gentleman opens the cash register and whispers to himself, “Such dirty language, Sheldon. I think I'm in adore.” The heavy-set gentleman puts the money on the counter and when Sheldon reaches for it he hears foot-steps creep up from behind him. He turns but no one is there. And when he turns back to face the counter the clerk had gone and the money is on the floor. “Screw it”, Sheldon told himself as he went towards the door. But before he could receive outside, he looked through the store's big glass windows and saw two male figures dressed like policemen with S&M masks on standing in the middle of the parking lot in front of his van with their arms crossed. And behind them is the heavy-set gentleman pulling a limp body from the driver's side. A voice behind Sheldon appeared, “Hi.” Sheldon turned and noticed a man with long dark hair and a beard. The man wielded a big hunting knife and wore blood-stained scrubs. The man continued, “He said I couldn't touch you. Not yet. None of us can.” The bearded man scratches the side of his head with the big hunting knife and continues. “Dr. Veda—you know, the fat guy you talked to—well, he's a doctor. But. No. A good doctor. A progressive doctor. He let's us out, you know. He likes to spice up our therapy with entertainment. The other doctors want to keep us sleepy and stupid. But not Dr. Veda. He's different. He understands.” Sheldon begins to tremble, trying to aim the revolver at the man, “I will shoot everyone here. I swear to God!” The bearded man lets out a sinister giggle. The abrupt laughter shocks Sheldon into squeezing the trigger and a bullet flies into the bearded man's throat. The bearded man stops laughing; grasps his throat in desperation and staggers for a moment. His eyes roll into the back of his skull and he collapses on the floor. Sheldon backs up, looks at the body and then, looks back outside; his van and the policemen are gone. But before he can move he hears melodic whistling as two renaissance puppets arrive up from behind the counter: One of the puppets is a thief, with a miniature white scarf around it's face and the other is a court jester. The puppet thief mockingly proclaims, “I will kill you, homo”. “Not if I receive you first”, the puppet jester replied, giggling. Sheldon decided at that moment to run, and he did. His van was gone but he didn't care. “Anywhere but here...” he told himself. He ran through the door, making it outside. But before he could receive past the sidewalk a body from the roof falls on him and Sheldon drops his gun. He struggles frantically to push the body off of him as the two policemen with S&M masks approach. When he finally removes the body he gets up only to be smacked in the face with a nightstick; and again across the back of his head and again across his knees until he falls to the ground. He curls up into the fetal position as the policemen continue to beat him. They cease. He peaks between his arms and sees the heavy-set gentleman--'Dr. Veda'--peering directly over him.

Resolved Question: How should i break things off?
Ok so.. plain and simple, i have found out that this guy i'm seeing has a girlfriend. The way i found out, on the other hand, is unorthodox. So we went out for some food earlier tonight ( i even paid for my possess meal, we're students so we're low on cash) We met up at the restaurant and parked our cars. After the meal we got in my car, chatted and kissed. every in every, a really good night. Until we went our seperate ways and as i was driving home I noticed his phone on my dashboard. I got home and.. obviously, i looked through his phone and found out that the 'ex' girlfriend is actually his current girlfriend. He emailed me telling me he needs to pick up his phone asap. So i'm now home and wondering how to break things off with him. I can't exactly say i know you have a gf etc because that would be telling him where i got that information.

Resolved Question: need place to live??????
Hi, I am moving from Cleveland, Ohio to Las Vegas. I have the worst credit as my credit score is 375, I am not allowed to open a checking or savings account anywhere in the United States cause of scams, so I need a place I can pay cash. and theft and I also have an extensive criminal history of theft. I also was court ordered to receive a job several times but could not and my probation officer who worked has dealt with every kinds says that I am to be thankful that I have disability and food stamps cause my only chance of ever getting a job would be moving out of country and he told me that it would be easier for a child rapist to receive a job in a day care middle than it would be for me to receive a job anywhere in the country unless I knew someone that owned their possess business and was willing to give me a chance, but I am disabled and can't work now anyway. I am 27 years old and single. I have just received $40,000 cash from a life insurance policy ( i was able to receive cash cause the policy was through a credit union so they were able to give me cash) and I receive $1,005 a month in SSDI and $200 food stamps a month. I decided to move to Las Vegas cause I am good blackjack and poker player. I am buying a 2010 car from Enterprise car sales for $12,000 cause I don't have a vehicle and can't receive a loan. And I just got a secured credit card for $5,000. I have found a few nice mobile homes for below $10,000 that I was willing to pay cash for, but the lot owners would not rent to me cause I have bad credit and no references and criminal history even though I have steady and guaranteed income for life and the lot rent was around $500 a month, which I could easily afford. I have also contacted Sportsman Royal manor and they do not do any nice of background checks, employment checks or credit checks, but the monthly rental is $885 which is way to pricey for me. I also looked up Siegel suites and a couple other places, but those are pricey as well and had tons of bad reviews like cockroaches and other horror stories. I need something that I can rent by the week or month at no more than $500 monthly, or I need a place that I can buy for below $12,000 cash or a mobile home for below $10,000 cash that the lot owners would rent to me. Or possibly a regular apartment that would let me pay cash for a years lease and waive the income and credit requirements. I think it is nice of bullshit that I can buy a mobile home with cash money but the park won't let me stay there cause of my bad credit and criminal history. No, I have absolutely no friends or family. Never had any friends in my entire life and never had any family except for one person.

Resolved Question: Is this a good story? it's only chapter 1?
Yeah I wish it's okay I'm in 7th grade and really like to write! Just want the opinion of random people. Sorry if you don't receive it like I said it's only chapter 1 and it's supposed to create suspense. “I’m going for a bike ride!” I shouted, and even though my parents weren’t home, I liked to pretend I had parents that cared and would worry if I came home too tardy. tiny piece of my fantasy. I wheeled by old, battered, black bike out of the only space that was vacated from our massive garage filled with Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Bugattis. I sighed. every this money, spent on cars that were hardly used, and my parents didn’t even bother to buy me a new bike, which I would use every day, as I use the one I have currently. I swung my leg over my bike seat and stared at the label that said: ‘Be safe and wear a helmet.’ I pushed some of my long, black hair out of my face and chuckled. Me? Wear a helmet? Oh, please. I kicked the kick stand up and started pedaling towards the road that touched our long driveway. I made my way around the big network of streets that made up our neighborhood. I had been going this route ever since I was 10. Oh yeah, I forgot…My name’s Nikki. I’m 15. My parents are super-wealthy, ignorant, greedy, snobs that possess several name-brand car dealerships. That’s the way everyone in this neighborhood is. Even the few kids that live here, except for me and Winston, who’s 65 years old. I made my way onto the main highway and turned to the left, and there sat my favorite store, The Candy Barrel. I locked my bike and walked into the store. I immediately grabbed a bag and headed for the gummy bears. I shoveled two helpings of them into my bag, 1 helping of Licorice Pastels, and 1 helping of Swedish Fish. I brought my bag up the the brunette at the cash register. “Hey, Sylvia.” I said, handing her a $5.oo bill. “Keep the change.” “So, what’s new, Nikki?” She asked. “Parents changed yet?” I laughed. “Despite my antics? No. We had another battle last night. Something about me ‘not being courteous and respectful’ I got this bruise from it.” I pointed to a tiny bruise on my forehead and Sylvia nodded. “Feel better, kid.” She said as I walked out the door. “Thanks.” I said, unlocking my bike and getting on it. I rode off, back to my home. I thought a lot when I was on my daily bike rides, but then I ended up getting really mad and hurting myself in my anger. I just wish my parents actually noticed me, or for that matter, anybody. I turned into the driveway of a tall, brick home. I parked my bike in the front and walked in. “Winston! I’m here!” I yelled. “You know where I am, Nikki!” He yelled back. I strode into the kitchen, grabbed a bowl, and started picking out every of the Swedish Fish and green gummy bears for Winston. “So, what was it this time?” He asked nonchalantly. “Just a bruise. They said I wasn’t courteous enough and respecting my superiors.” “What made them say that?” “Just a little thing I call talking back to my teachers. They told me that I was an ugly freak and that I didn’t deserve to be at a ‘fabulous’ school like Watsinger High.” “What did you do?” He asked curiously. “Just walked out and rode home.” I said. “That’s the Nikki I know.” He said approvingly. I sighed as we munched on our candy and we indulged ourselves in a deep conversation about the teachers at my school, making fun of them. I glanced at the clock; it was time to leave. “Bye, Winston. look you later.” “Bye, Flash.” He said with a wink. I smiled and leaped onto my bike. My talks with Winston always made me feel better. As I turned onto Galleria road and saw two buff men leaning against the back of a truck stare at me. I started to tell them to cease staring at me, but I didn’t have enough time. They leapt out at me with unnatural speed and agility and grabbed me. “Is it really you?” The first man said in a gruff voice. “Are you really the Light that Shines through the Dark?” The second asked. “Excuse me? I’m no light, okay?” I looked at my black shirt, my gray cargo pants, my black Converse, my black hair, and my purple nose piercing. “So let go of me and push off.” The second took out a walkie-talkie and said, “General, we have a match.” The first let me go and I stood up. “Now, that’s better-,” I never could finish my sentence. He had punched me, right in the stomach. I tried to kick him in the chest, but it was weak through my pain, and I really had no means of defending myself. He punched me again, and again, and again, until I finally blacked out. I could vaguely hear the first man say, “The General’s gonna be so glad with us.”

Resolved Question: Government wasting money?
Hi there, I have recently become interested in something call urban exploration. I don't participate in it myself although I like looking on a number websites connected to it. Basically it is about exploring empty/boarded up buildings such as hospitals, schools, theme parks and many industrial sites. Anyway, whilst looking throught the photographs I couldn't help but think what a lot of money is being wasted (I assume) by abandoning buildings for years on end, most of which are in perfectly good condition and many of which are still full of equipment and fittings etc. One that springs to mind is the Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital. It is still full of medical gear and has stood empty since the opening of the new super hospital in June 2009 with (so far as I can find) no prospects of anything being done with it. There are many other buildings in the same position as this and if we are struggling so desperately for money in the U.K. would it not make sense to either "make do and mend" the buildings we currently already have or at least clear them out of their fixtures and perhaps sell them? I may be wrong but I think that lesser developed parts of the world would buy our "outdated" medical equipment. There is also a sports centre somewhere in Essex which was built just over 10years ago which has been let go and vandalised as the lotto funding for the projects based there dried up. Surely a perfectly good structure should be utilised as 2.1million pounds of "our" money was used providing it. There is a swimming pool, squash courts, running tracks and the like. Is it not the year of the Olympics? Surely there is some use for this place. I am tightening my belt to try and keep cash, wonder if the government should perhaps take a look at its assets and do the same? After further research it appears the land/hospital has been sold to build houses but this said there are still a great number of buildings in this state of limbo every over the U.K.

Voting Question: Is it ok to request going Dutch when dating?
While spending the weekend with my girlfriend she bought breakfast, pizza, cocktails and the parking fee when going to dinner last night. Every time I asked if I could pay for any of it she wouldn't let me. I paid for dinner last night, which was $72 including tip. While at dinner she mentioned her salary ($200-220K). My income is exactly half that amount. Today I asked her if it would be ok to go dutch moving forward and she got mad and replied in a text: "Dutch? Well, I suppose that means you owe me some cash since I picked up breakfast, a pizza, paid for parking and bought miscellaneous cocktails and coffee. If you can't tell I'm pretty annoyed you would say that. I always pay, provide, give moe than share. Seems you don't think I'm worth dinner. Probably not a good idea to go out again." I don't believe I deserve this type of reaction since I offered to pay my share every time there was a purchase. Please let me know if I am missing anything. I sent a text message explaining the fairness of going dutch given the reality of the incomes. I also mentioned that I would like to occasionally buy dinner and gifts as I want to remain the courting man. Any thoughts?

Resolved Question: Ex girlfriend / college trouble!?
Okay.. here goes. I have a lot on my mind right now. I am an 18 year old guy in college. Second semester is about to start, and I am in need of a lot of advice. My girlfriend broke up with me about 4 months ago, right around the beginning of my first semester in college. We were dating for a little over 2 years, but since I was attending college 3 hours away, things got complicated. She broke up with me because she wanted to be single.. that's it. She just didn't want a boyfriend. After that, we stopped talking for about 2 months because.. well.. she turned into a total bitch and I didn't want to deal with it. Anyway, I came home for winter break because I had about a month off. My exgirlfriend and I somehow started talking again about 4 days ago. We said we still have the same feelings for each other and that we miss one another. We started hanging out and having fun again.. we said that we were just going to be friends so that things didn't receive confusing. This, of course, is where is gets complicated. The first day we hung out we got to 3rd base in my truck in the parking lot of a mall. The second day we climbed over a couple fences, snuck into a closed baseball stadium, made out in the dugout, then had sex in the janitors closet. It happened two more times after that. I am really confused because we say that we adore each other, but she still doesn't want to be in a relationship. I don't know why, but I really do. I have a choice to either go back to college (3 hours away) in a few days, or stay here and take the semester off so I can earn some cash and figure things out before I go back. This decision was difficult enough as it is, but now that my ex is involved, its... ugh. Plus to add on to every of this, I have manic-depressive disorder. This just makes everything more confusing and harder to figure out, plus it contributes to the issue with my girlfriend and I. She can't handle my ups and downs and does't want to deal with it. My main questions are: Should I keep trying to form a relationship with my exgirlfriend? Should I go back to college, or stay here and live with my pal?

Open Question: I have a very small collection of US quarters. Should I cash them in?
It's the quarters everyone collects with the states on the back & I have a few territories & one national park. I don't think they'll be worth something someday & if I were to just roll the coins up & cash them it would be about $14. Should I do so? I don't know why I'm having such a tough time getting rid of them.

Resolved Question: Private towing company towed my dad's car but he's handicapped!?
My question involves a person located in the state of: California. I am going to admit first, I have some fault in what had happened. My dad has a old lexus that we steer him around in, recently his allow sticker fell off (no longer became sticky) and we went to the office to replace it, turns out they don't accept cash or debit card (for, LACK OF RECORDS??) only check. I don't use checks at every, iPhone > can pay every my bills with card, so it took me 2 days to finally find the checks I had. I work god awful hours, so getting to a bank was hell. Also I was in the hospital myself for a day because I too am disabled. I don't receive wads of money from SSI, I finally got it January 2012 to just start making progress in my bills. We didn't use the private property parking (His apartment parking lot) due to the fact that we didn't have the sticker yet, so instead we parked on the road. A family member came by today day to pick up her belongings and the entire road parking was filled, I decided, to park the car in the parking lot for a few minutes, and give her that spot since it was right outside our apartment. I went inside prepared my Dad's food and medication before getting him into the car. When I got out 30 mins later, the car was towed. My question is, is there anyway I could wave this 350$ tow fee? The private property would not pay for signing the authorization for the towing company to tow the car because we didn't have the allow sticker, (I COULDN'T receive ONE! NO CHECKS) and lastly, he has a handicap placid! I completely forgot it wasn't hung on there because he took it out and is attached to it. (He suffered a stroke, and he has thinks and acts stubbornly) Also, I never knew that would of worked or I would of convinced him somehow to let go of the placid and let me place it in the car! Right now I'm frustrated beyond words that I have to pay 350 for simple misunderstanding and bad timing. I'm mad that the property manager and the towing company will not release my fathers car even though he's truly handicapped and he truly lived in that apartment complex. We pay 5 dollars a month for a spot, the fact that we didn't have a simple sticker to show for it and the apartment manager literally couldn't spend 2 mins in her computer to confirm that is outrageous! What's the point of us filling out our car information if the apartment isn't even going to double check on the car itself before signing the authorization to tow it ! Is there anyway to battle this? I'm a disabled student, and my dad is a disabled as well. 350$ is a lot of money out of pocket for me at the moment. ANY advice would be taken with much gratitude. Towards Annie: well excuse me for having organ failure due to a birth defect. I never asked to be on disability. You wouldn't imagine how much I adore to have a normal childhood and have a full life without hospital stays and treatment. Boy am i lucky to receive 156$ a month. And who said I'm not a tax payer? I work my ass off and pay my taxes and support myself through college. My dad is a tax payer too. I paid the cost out of pocket to receive the car out, I was trying to look if I could receive a lower fine. Because it is indeed my dads car, and I was trying to receive a cashier check while working my awful hours and being in the hospital, I even spoke to the property manager in advance. I know from state parking tickets with cars that forget handicap placids can be fined 50-350, I was hoping someone had a clue. I will not hesitate to reimburse the man for gas and time, because I take some responsibility, I was trying to look if I can receive it lowered. There is however no need to bash on me and being accused for stealing tax payer month when I myself and dad are tax payers. The fact that he has a car and a car needs gas(tax) enough said.

Resolved Question: Looking at battery disconnect options....?
I recently bought a car and turns out there is a significant drain on the battery. I spent a few days trying to locate the drain with no luck, and didn't have time/money to send it in as I had to leave for school (and the car is essential). We ended up installing a simple disconnect switch, so when I park I just pop the hood and disconnect the battery. But having to pop the hood every time I park or anytime I want to start my car is frustrating (and, in some cases, embarrassing). I've been looking for an automatic disconnect. Currently, PriorityStart seems like my first choice, simply because it's one of the cheaper ones I've seen and it is what I'm looking for. But I've heard it has a tendency to not last very long and/or tends to drain the battery itself if you don't steer your car every that often (I steer roughly once every week-week and a half). So, I was wondering if there were any better disconnect switches someone could recommend (hopefully around $100 - - not much extra cash to toss around) or if it's better to just stick to popping the hood every time I turn my car off.

Voting Question: Arrested for possession and consumption of a substance(incense). Was it legal? Any similar situations?
First of no flaming please. I know I got myself into this situation and I picked my friends. I already have an attorney, just looking for any ideas, help, or suggestions. If anyone has any previous experience with this situation. Your case and the results. Another thing is that I have my allow to carry weapons in Iowa(resident state), do not want to loose that. Was not carrying at the time of incident. 21+ years old. No drug use. Only smoke cigs. I have never gotten in any trouble before, no probation, most has been speeding ticket in South Dakota. On Sat Dec 31, 2011 I was arrested in South Dakota. A pal asked me for a ride to a skate/clothes store in SD. My pal wanted to buy some Incense(aromatherapy, which is not labeled K2 and is legal to sell, and bought it at a store) which you have to be 18 to buy. My pal which is 18+ did not have an ID, so he gave me the money and purchased it for him because I know he is 18+ and it was legal. It was in his possession at the time of leaving the parking lot. There was a Police officer just sitting in the parking lot right next to the skate store. We pulled out of the parking lot and passed the police officers car. The cop car stayed their for about 1-2 mins. Then after about 1 block caught up and pulled us over for License light not working. Asked for my information, had insurance, registration and valid license. Asked me to sit in police car, while reviewing the information. Meanwhile pal stayed in the passenger seat. Then asked to search the car, authorized search because nothing illegal was in the car. I sat in the car and then the officer went over to the car to talk to my pal. Officer talked to my pal, while I sat in the car. I am not aware of their conversation. Officer then asked my pal to stand outside. Then searched the car while I was still in the cop car. Officer then found the Incense. Came back to the car and asked what it was for. I told officer it was incense. Officer asked if I smoked it, rolled it or put it in a pipe.I told him no, I do not smoke anything besides cigarettes. I did not have any intentions of smoking it. Told officer you use the incense/aromatherapy the way you use any other incense/aromatherapy. They did not find any drug paraphernalia, no pipes, no bong, or rolling papers. Officer then went to talk to my pal again, not aware of their conversation. Officer then arrested my pal. Officer came over to police car and placed me below arrest. (if applicable, rights were not read to me, stopped for light and was question about a different situation) When at Jail, I was asked to do a UA. Complied. Bailed myself out cash and got a lawyer. I went to jail for something legal. They sell at the store, like 2 blocks away from where I got pulled over. When at jail, talking to other people that were brought in the same night for the same thing. Apparently they had been pulling over a lot of cars leaving the store. I do not,did not and have no intentions to consume/smoke anything. In South Dakota it is legal to sell. The law essentially bans the possession, sale or use of any substance "to become intoxicated". That law does not apply to alcohol, which is regulated in other sections of law. I have called the States Attorney General's office to receive my results of the UA. The primary UA was clean, but they told me they have a secondary UA they have to send to a lab in CA to receive tested for Synthetic Drugs. Total of 4 charges: Got charged with Consumption of substance and consumption of substance other than alcohol. In South Dakota they can charge, suspicion of consumption, which should drop because UA would be clean. Possession of a substance? The substance, Incense if legal. It would not be for sale if it was illegal. No proof I was going to ingest, consume or smoke. I got charged with Distribution because I bought it and then gave it to my pal. Ticket for license light not working(petty). Does it sound like I will be able to receive these charges dropped and/or counter-sue for damages? Anything possible against the store that sold the incense?

Resolved Question: I didn't pay a toll booth on the Florida turnpike greenway?
On Thursday evening I decided to take a faster way to the store by going through the tolled freeway(greenway), I had just a quarter & some pennies and I thought the toll was 25 cents cause last time I went through it, I paid 25 cents. When I got to the pay toll where there's always no attendant the fee turned out to now be 50 cents! I had less than that in change! I kinda panicked, drove back a little bit to try turning around, but just drove back(fwd) to where I stopped since I shouldn't do that and parked on the cash lane next to the basket, try waiting to look if another car would tug up behind me so I could ask for an extra quarter but no one was coming and my sister was sitting in the back whimpering how 'we're in trouble' Then I saw a sign next to the basket saying 'if you don't have the correct change to pay in an unattended cash lane do not back up or receive out of the vehicle cause it's unsafe but payment is still required' and there were some envelopes provided, I got an envelope which said that I could pay by mailing a check or money order: amount of 50 cents (no cash) and send it to the Florida Turnpike Enterprise, including vehicle dish, date, time within 10 days and there's also an address on it of course. After I read the envelope I then went through the toll. I didn't toss my quarter and pennies in cause I figured I'll pay for it in full through the money order or check. There are no other tolls through the part of the greenway I drove through and the leave I got off to go to the store has no toll so I dealt with just ONE toll. It hasn't been 10 days yet, I'm going to send a money order tomorrow but I have to ask will I still be in trouble cause I didn't at least toss in anything in the basket?! The envelope also says to 'retain a copy of your cancelled check or money order in the event a violation is generated' so even if I do send the money could they not accept it?? Could they not accept it because I didn't at least toss in what I had into the basket? Could it be a violation? Also do I bring the envelope with the money to the post office?? I've never mailed a payment before. How long could it for the Turnpike Enterprise to receive it? I wish it's not more than 10 days. If they do accept the money, how will I know they got the money and not charge me with anything? Even if the money is sent and received before the 10 days could they still mark off points on my licence? Tow away the car? (seems unlikely though) receive some penalty? I haven't gotten anything mailed here yet. There's a phone number on the envelope I called it after I got off the greenway and I just got a recorded voice, dial tones and no answer from any person but I'll try tomorrow during the daytime but I just want some questions answered now. I know I typed a lot about this, I just don't want a big fine or go to court or some BS over this. It's making me very anxious thinking about this.

Resolved Question: Should there be a cap on parking fines?
Having to pay £130 in London for stopping on a single yellow line and waiting for a few minutes to pick up your pal or, entering a red box to use a cash point, or doing a U-turn when you miss a road sign, is completely outrageous. Just imagine how much food shopping or petrol you can buy for that money. In each case, an automated video surveillance system issued the ticket instead of a warden having some discretion. I think that there should be a cap on the fines and an idle time of 5 minutes, but clearly, the enforcing authorities just want to make as much money as possible from each motorist. What is your view? Do you agree with any of these suggestions? Have you ever received a parking ticket and why? Please try to answer each question and share your views.

Resolved Question: Replacement for a VW Bora/Jetta - compact executive saloon?
My much loved 2005 Bora Hi-line has now done 270,000 miles & I am struggling to look what could replace it. Sometimes called a 'baby-mercedes' due to the build quality the old car's forward visibility is outstanding & the car 'rides high' & upright with a steep windscreen so parking & manouvering is vastly better than today's 'cab-forward' designs where the driver's field of view is degraded. Also, since 2005, British roads & motorways have deteriorated & there are more speed cushions so a bit more ground clearance & better ride cushioning are required - the bora was well-known to 'bottom-out' on speed cushions or undulating surfaces. Even today, in the winter you will often look Mk4 golfs with the plastic undertray ripped off & dangling underneath the car - its an expensive nuisance to replace them at c.£150 a time. Finally today's 'equivalent' vw car is 60% more expensive than the 2005 bargain price I paid of £14,500. So with a current list price of c. £25,000 what else is there for that nice of cash. The ideal spec is the bora hi-line; a 4-door saloon, a 2litre diesel engine, automatic gearbox and top quality leather seats. And due to potholes - the option of 16" tyres. And not forced to accept 17" tyres or sports lowered suspension if you want the 'top-spec' car. Because they dont make the Bora anymore there are no direct equivalent cars so I have selected a few cars that receive as close as possible - but please let me know your recommendations & the reasons why - thanks BMW X1 (2wd) BMW X3 (2wd) Mercedes c-Class (elegance) Citroen C4 BMW 1 Series coupe BMW 3 Series saloon VW Jetta Chevrolet Cruze Mini Countryman VW Golf Qashqai Skoda Yeti (2wd)

Open Question: my car was towed by a potentially illegal towing company?
i left my car at a pal's home overnight and one of their housemates called a towing company and had it towed. they only accepted cash, and needed it that day or else they would charge me $50 a day to store the car. also, i called around 1 and the guy said he was gonna leave in about an hour, so i scrambled and got the $175 to release my car. when i went to their location, there were a bunch of sketchy guys outside, and i wasnt sure what to do. so i got out and one of the guys asked me if i was here to pick up a car, i said yes, so he walked me to another sketchy lot where there were about 5 cars. he said "is one of these your car" and i said "yes, the honda" and he said "ok open it so i can look that its yours" and so i did and then he said "ok its $175" so i gave him the cash and then he went and pulled out the car that was parked across the entrance (this is how sketchy it is, they didnt have a gate or anything, just kept the cars in there by parking another car across them) and then i left. is this legit? they didnt give me a receipt, documentation, didnt ask for my insurance, registration, license, didnt write down my name, i didnt sign, nothing. i feel like this is nice of sketchy? also, im in NJ if that helps for towing laws

* She had started out driving, taking only the clothes on her back and the cash in her pocket the little MG was low on gas and when it ran out she parked it started walking hair slicked down and grimy clothing stuck to her bony prominence's her hunger apparent as she leaned on a rock beside a busy highway ... she was chewing on a piece of grass an empty look in her eyes when the truck pulled up a gruff voice said receive up as he drug her to the door and shoved her in he didn't do much conversing, an occasional glance at her dirty being and I wonder what was really going through that old man's mind in the back of the pick up a mangy dog rode with his tongue hanging out, tasting the wind and on the floor board was the ugliest cat I have ever seen, I wondered what I was doing here in this place and who was this man ...as he drizzled broth into her cracked dry mouth I realized of every the things they told me they forgot to tell me he could be nice She grew stronger wiser rougher ...she had brushed sleeves with that man Who was he?

Resolved Question: How much red tape does it take to get a car not offered in America?
Not trying to do this for real, but was just wondering about the hoops that need to be jumped thru. Buick stopped selling the Park Avenue in 2005 but GM Shanghai still makes them. http://www.buick.com.cn/ParkAvenue/feature_design.aspx may need to translate So what does it take? Whos pockets would I have to fill with extra cash? The cost isn't the issue and the car doesn't matter. It was just an example. What I am going for is to have a unique car that no one else would have and how one would go about it. I have no real plans to actually do this, it's just hypothetical.

Voting Question: I have an extortion plan, could I get away with this (See details)?
So I got an idea from the TV show "To Catch a Predator" Lets say that I did the same exact thing these guys do from my home computer. I go into chat rooms with a pic of a 13-14 year old boy or girl, and just chat. In no time flat, a pedophile, buying my act and thinking I'm a young teen, will start to chat me up. And for those of you who have seen "To catch a predator" the pedophile makes a deal to meet and have sexual contact this supposedly home alone tween and can include bringing anything from drugs to alcohol to condoms to porn. In the show, the investigator posing as a teen never initiates any of these topics, they make the chatter make the first move. So lets say I do the exact thing. He solicits a meeting for sex from who he believes is an underage teen. By this time I have every their personal information. Then it's time for a webcam chat. Except when they turn on the webcam, they look not the underage person they were expecting, but they look me, with my face covered with a mask, and I immiediately say: "Before you turn off your cam, there's something you need to know. I have this chat log saved, I have every your personal information, and I know have your face recorded. If you don't want me to turn this information over to the police and have you arrested, you will pay me $1000 dollars in cash." And since I'm only able to do this in my area, I will give them instruction to leave the cash in a public place (Such as an already placed fake rock in the park or the hollow of a tree) an area where there would be tons of witnesses so they can't ambush me when I show up to pick up the cash. I tell them they have for example, until 3pm tomarrow, and if I show up and the money isn't there, I immiediately sent this info to the police. And of course they know that means immiediate arrest and prison time upon conviction for soliciting a minor for sex (Them thinking it was a minor is enough) and lifelong registration as a sex offender. So a thousand would be a tiny price to pay for them to receive off the hook, I could easily ask ten times that amount. And they can't go running to the police about the guy extorting them because obviously they would expose their crime that way. Figure it takes 3 hours of typing to secure each $1000 payment (Unfortunately, when a supposed young teen logs into a chatroom, it doesn't take long these days for a perv to start talking to you) Then figure I do this three times a week. $3000 a week = $156,000 a year working only 9 hours a week. Could I receive away with this? Again, there's no way the pedophile is going to go to the police and say "Yeah, I was soliciting who I thought was a 13 year old girl online for sex and the guy posing as the kid is extorting money from me." What say you? Trai: Right. No one in a crowded area is going to call 911 when they look someone randomly walk up and shoot a guy, OR shoot him themselves. By the way, in my state we have the good samaritan law. You look a violent crime and don't report it, you're going to jail.

Resolved Question: Problems with previous landlord?
Hi, I have recently moved out of a property which was privately rented, we had one contract which wasn't signed, and this contract had only my partners name on it and the wrong address with no date, we had no rentbook, no receipts for the rent we paid, she sometimes wanted the money paid in cash and then sometimes paid via bank transfer. The property had no gas/electrical certificates for the duration of three years we were there. She used to park his possess truck on the steer for long periods of time, use our garage for his possess use. After moving out, fed up with the over we received a court document stating that we owe her money, which we do not, it also stated that we damaged the property which we did not, can anybody help me out with this one? If anybody else has been in this situation or if anybody would know the outcome of the court possibly?

Resolved Question: I'm being sued what should I do !!?
Well during christmas holiday I was away visiting family and I left my car here with my boy pal and our roommate, and on christmas eve my bf hit 2 parked cars both owned by one man (how ever my roomate took the rap for him because he has no drivers lisence so now i'm being sued along with my room mate and I feel terrible she is getting involved in this) and apparently I had no insurance at the time. (my company told me they canceled the service a month before that because i didn't pay my bill, but i know I sent a check but they never notified me telling me they where going to cancel it, but I checked my bank statements and the money was never cashed, so i can't prove anything) but any ways, now I received a letter from the Majestry saying I need t appear for court, he's suing me in tiny claims court for 2,300 bux in damages, not including what other fees, and penalties may be thrown at me, (this is in the state of PA) So I don't know what to do, I know he's prob going to win, and I will prob receive like a 500 dollar fine for driving with out insurance, but what happens if I don't have the money to pay every that in full? can I receive arrested? will it go on my credit score? some one please help :(

Resolved Question: RETURNING HOME: Is Cristiano heading back home to Old Trafford?
Cristiano Ronaldo came to London just before Christmas. He was a guest at a tennis tournament, the ATP World Tour final between Roger Federer and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at the O2 Arena. Earlier that morning, it was claimed, Ronaldo was seen at Les Ambassadeurs, a private club and casino close Hyde Park. He was with his agent, Jorge Mendes, and most intriguingly David Gill, the chief executive of Manchester United. Is it possible? Is it going to happen? Maybe pack up Rooney and his £250,000 to Madrid along with £30 Million cash and receive back THAT BOY RONALDO? I'm every for it but hey.............I just think Gill and Ronaldo met up as two old pals.. That's what I adore the most about Ronaldo...people call him arrogant but never has he disrespected Man United and Sir Alex as much as Rooney has

Resolved Question: What should I bring to my trip to Orlando, FL?
Hi. My parents and I will be visiting Orlando from April 3 to 11. In other words, 8 nights and 7 full days. I have some idea already but I need yours in case I forget those. I know it really varies and your ideas may overlap but it's okay. So far, I got the toiletries/grooming kits thought of already like: shampoo, sunblock, mini mineral foundation w/ kabuki brush, lip balm, moisturizer, travel tooth brush and toothpaste, mini hair brush, soap bar, deodorant, 2 oz bottles of Proactiv, tiny Victoria's Secret body mist and hand sanitizer. As for other stuff, I plan on bringing: 1 pair of jeans, 3 knee-length bermuda shorts (I have rotund legs so I'm very conscious about what I wear), 1 long-sleeve shirt, 4 short and/or elbow sleeved tops like t-shirts and polos, 2 cotton pajamas, 4 underwears, and 4 bras. We will be bringing one of those Purex laundry sheets so half-way through, we will use the laundry facility to wash the clothes and re-wear them again on the second half and wash them again before leaving...which is why I only said I'd bring only 4 underwear and bras. Haha. Another are those disposable rain coats instead of umbrellas because that takes up a lot of space in our carry-on luggage. By the way, I wish to fit every those in a 21" carry on and a 16" x 7" x 12" personal bag. Oh, of course I'll also bring Converse sneakers for departing, a cheaper, lighter sneaker for walking in the parks and a toning flip-flops for walking in the parks and for comfortable walking as well. I don't really think they work for losing weight but I Iike how good my feet feel in them when walking for a long time. The reason I have two is in case I have to go the interverted roller coasters. The flip flops one obviously could fall off. That is every I have so far. As for bringing some cash, of course I know that. Anyone else with better ideas and suggestions? Thanks! =] Oops, I mean inverted roller coaster.

Resolved Question: Can you judge these acts as moral or immoral?
"Do you do drugs?" "No.' "Why not?" "Because they're illegal" A lot of people think that's a perfectly valid answer. Okay, how about this: It's 1955. "Should Rosa Parks sit at the front of the bus?" "No." "Why not?" "Because it's illegal" (For the younger people: Rosa Parks is the black lady who, in 1955, dared sit at the front of a public bus when racial segregation was the law in the US and it was enforced by police. Meaning, black people had to sit at the back of the bus by law. Rosa Parks was arrested for sitting at the front.) So anyway, the point is, just because something is illegal doesn't necessarily mean it's immoral or wrong or unethical. So how do you decide whether some act is moral or immoral? Obviously you can't use the law as a guide. So then what do you go by? Please judge the following actions as moral or immoral with a brief comment explaining why. Do not use the law as a moral compass. Use your possess. 1) You find a money clip with $500 cash. The owner's name and phone number is on the money clip. You toss it away and keep the cash. 2) You put in a quarter into someone else's parking meter to prevent a policeman from writing a parking ticket. As a result, the policeman doesn't make his quota and as a result, he doesn't receive promoted... again. As a result, he gets depressed and commits suicide. Now rewind. You know exactly what will happen if you put the quarter in. Do you still put it in? Or do you let the car owner receive a ticket? By the way, the car owner is your best pal and the cop is a stranger. 3) You find a container of high-quality, medical-grade marijuana. You have no medical need, yet you smoke it every anyway just for fun. 4) You tie up some lady in a dungeon and beat her with belts and whips until she's covered in red marks. You spend 20 minutes doing this and then you take $500 dollars from her. The twist: She paid you $500 to do that to her because she's into that nice of stuff and she enjoys it. 5) You're a doctor and a lady with an amputation fetish offers you $35,000 to clip off her perfectly healthy leg. Do you accept? If you refuse, she'll just go somewhere else to have it done... she'll go to a black market "surgeon" who is not a real doctor and will use dirty tools and sloppy surgery. She might receive an infection and she might die... every because you refused. Do you do the surgery?

Resolved Question: I have an extortion plan, could I get away with this?
PS: This IS a repost: Last time the central theme dominating the answers is that any evidence I produce doesn't count because as a civillian I supposedly can't run an investigation. That's incorrect. First of every, Perverted Justice, the volunteer civillian group in the show does just that, These are civillians compiling the evidence. And beyond that. The yellow pages will show dozens of private investigators in your area, every civillians. Their evidence is admissable in court, if it weren't it would defeat the purpose of hiring one. Your insurance company has investigators, civilians, who compile evidence used to prosecute fraud. Financial institutions have the same. Loss prevention and Human Resources departments of any chain company investigate internal thefts and suucessfully receive convictions based on the evidence they obtain from their investigations. Again, civillians, no badge, no gun. So don't tell me a court won't recognize evidence a civilian produces, as long as it was not illegally obtained, they will.

Resolved Question: Car sideswiped at bank today?
I stopped by my local bank today to cash my paycheck. It took 5 minutes tops. When I came out, it looked as if someone sideswiped my car. There was some heavy scraping/denting on the fender and white paint appears to have scraped off on my car. It was a busy time at the bank and oddly, no-one came forward as a witness. I came back in the bank to let them know what happened, and the bank manager filled out paperwork, and wrote some nice of liability report. It looks like the bank is sending this off to their insurance people? I would guess that the bank parking lot has several cameras, so they should be able to tell who hit my car and drove off. After I left, I started to wonder if it really did happen at the bank. I left work tardy last night, and may not have noticed if a coworker (for instance) did the damage, as it was on the front passenger side of the car. I don't receive why no-one at the bank seemed to have seen the accident, as it was pretty busy at the time. Perhaps someone did look it, and didn't want to be bothered, but I don't want the bank to assume liability if it didn't happen on their property. Should I just wait to look what their surveillance cameras pick up? If I made the report in good faith, but was mistaken (as evidenced by the cameras), are they going to say I made a untrue report, or can I just retract my statement? I don't know how every this works. Thanks.

Resolved Question: If you found a wallet with $800 CASH inside, what would you do?
HONEST. You are walking from a parking lot to the store and you look a wallet on the ground, you open it and there are forty $20 bills. In this day and age, in your current situation, what would you do? When you say "try" to turn it in, what steps? Would you go to the store since it was in the parking lot? Go into detail and be honest!
